REAWAKENING TO LIFE

Sugar Ray Robinson (State College, PA) - Nothing like Halloween at 2AM downtown with a camera. I wish I could have stayed longer for more ridiculousness. And here are the rest: Halloween 2009! Canon 5D Mk2, Leica 21mm f/4.

Still/life. (State College, PA) - Opened up a box from moving, and low-and-behold…this composition was sitting there. Could I have come up with something like this on purpose? Probably not, but it was the first good use of this huge, glass mannequin head I bought at Goodwill a while back. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 50mm 1.4.

Riding Skills > Walking Skills. (State College, PA) - Clay riding his knobby-tyred bicycle across the famous Three Bridges section of the Wilderness 101 endurance race. I had a great wedding that afternoon, so I could only photograph in the morning, but the sun coming through the fog made for some great back-lit shots. More to come, probably on the event blog soon. Boxed (State College, PA) - My life is packed into boxes, which are packed into a Forester, which are unloaded from said Forester, and then are dumped into a new place. Repeat five times. This is the last known picture of me in the Old Boalsburg apartment, and have since moved into the Stilson’s KILLER basement apartment. Harpist (State College, PA) - A musician entertaining at Megan and Sam’s wedding a few weeks ago. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 24-70mm f/2.8.

Non/Event (State College, PA) - Photograph was taken close enough to the Winter Solstice to make it ironic to post on the Summer Solstice date. Happy Irony! Canon 5D Mk2, Leica 21mm f/4.

Sunshine (State College, PA) - “But the sun is in my eyes.” Took her picture at my friend’s wedding this weekend, and couldn’t resist putting it up here. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 24-70mm f/2.8.

Downed (State College, PA) - The rain really brought out the reds and blacks that this tree hid within itself. I think it was another victim of the forest fire in Rothrock a few years ago. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 50mm f/1.4.

Rothrock Dusk (State College, PA) - I looked back on the sub-par post previously up here, and decided to put this one up instead. Same idea, however - no moon. Booooo… Still, I love the colors when there the days are really late. The blue seems to last forever. Canon 5D Mk2, Leica 21mm f/4.

Firin’ One Up (State College, PA) - One of my favorite shots from this weekend’s wedding in State College. I was outside shooting the getaway car being vandalized, while the jolly men enjoyed cigars and whiskey on the other side of the divider. Caught this through the dividing wall. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 24-70L f/2.8.
