(A DRY GASP OF AIR) The Return from the Blog-o-Crypt...

<A DRY GASP OF AIR> (Baltimore, MD). Leica R5, Leica 35mm f/2.

Nothing to see here… Just the corpse of my personal photography blog reanimated into some sort of zombified-technological-failure-of-social-media…

More sights to see soon…

(Also, speaking of dolphins, if you haven’t watched The Cove and are looking to for a fist full of reality, you MUST watch it. This was one of the few films that I awoke the morning afterwards and was still thinking about it. I regret the dolphin photos immensely.)

Land of Waters.

Land of Waters.

Land of Waters (Domaine Poutrincourt, Canada) – Oh Canada, you will be missed. Just the memories of lakes full of fish and stomachs full of beer to last us for now. We will let this summer go by without seeing the aurora nor the moose tracks in the sand, and we let the walleye grow fatter for the next year. Leica R5, Leica 35mm f/2.

Esquire.

Esquire (State College, PA) – Ah, my roommate at his best. Photo from a promotional shoot showcasing his business, Palmer Bartending. Of course, I am not sure if the harsh post-processing is acceptable, but I was drawn to the colors coming through the liquor and in his shirt. Canon 5D Mk2, Leica 35mm f/2.

Three Travelers.

Three Travelers.

Three Travelers (Cape May, NJ) – This is throwback to the work of Kahn and Selesnick, two of my favorite artists who ‘discover’ artifacts and photographs of lost exploration missions of the early 1900′s. A lot of their work relays mysteries, cities, and cultures that have long disappeared, and these pieces of fictional history find their context (and offer criticism) in our modern era. So, what story do you see here, if any at all? Canon 5D Mk 2, Leica 35mm f/2.

NYC in SC.

NYC in SC (State College, PA) – Anyone want to guess where this is in State College? I have some grandiose (yet still unrealized) ideas for a shoot here, but it does seem a bit too skeevy for my taste right now. Maybe in a month or two. But I like the echoes of NYC here. Canon 5D Mk2, Leica 35mm f/2.
