Snowed.

Snowed. (Washington, DC) – Wintry scene driving back from Virginia last night. Spooky and peaceful on the hill. Canon 5D Mk2, 24-70 f/2.8.

Un/seen.

Un/seen (Washington, DC)Part of me never wants to publish another color photograph ever again. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 50mm 1.4.

Hope all is well out the ‘blogosphere.’ Lots of weekend traveling (NJ two weekends in a row!), covering a PSU Printmaking class, cycling, photo shows, and spending time with the One-and-Only… what can I say? Life is very, very good.

Desire.

Desire (National Portrait Gallery, Washington, DC) – Two ironically placed statues in a classical sculpture section of the museum. You can feel the tension in the air. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 50mm f/1.4.

Firin’ One Up.

Firin' One Up.

Firin’ One Up (State College, PA) – One of my favorite shots from this weekend’s wedding in State College. I was outside shooting the getaway car being vandalized, while the jolly men enjoyed cigars and whiskey on the other side of the divider. Caught this through the dividing wall. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 24-70L f/2.8.

I Spy.

I Spy (Philadelphia, PA) – I love waiting for images to show themselves. This boy was running around the art museum at the Race for the Cure 2009 in Philly, and sometimes you just have to wait around for the right ingredients. Yellow coat, youthful enthusiasm for the mundane, and some bright light all went into this one. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 50mm f/1.4.

NYC in SC.

NYC in SC (State College, PA) – Anyone want to guess where this is in State College? I have some grandiose (yet still unrealized) ideas for a shoot here, but it does seem a bit too skeevy for my taste right now. Maybe in a month or two. But I like the echoes of NYC here. Canon 5D Mk2, Leica 35mm f/2.

Construction View (State College, PA) – Image made with a Diana Camera with some Fuji NPS 160 in it. Real natural colors with a funky format. Hope you enjoy.

Jesus Saves.

Jesus Saves (State College, PA) – Back alley in good ol’ State… I really like it back there, where the walls are alive with spraypaint and wires everywhere.

Forgotten Promises of God.

Forgotten Promises of God.

I don’t know if this is appropriate or not to be posting this image with this blog. I guess I just wanted to add a dose of reality and perspective to this whole thing… There are so many people who are really hurting and have given up on others, God, and worst of all, themselves. God loves us from the top people to the bottom people – He respects no high man’s wishes, nor does He tread over the lowly. We will be judged with the same standards standing next to this man. Took this image up in NYC with my Olympus XA-2 and Kodak V100 slide film cross-processed.

The Ceiling of Understanding.

The Ceiling of Understanding.

Image = Rollei + HP5 + Pittsburghian Architecture

I took a psychology test today. Not one you study for, but one that allows you to study yourself. (Okay…take the test and then come back).

I came back borderline INFP and ENFP, depending on which website you take the test on. I googled my results and came back with some weirdly accurate results. I mean, I shouldn’t be surprised – you answer questions and it gives you generalized results, like a palm reader. Or something. Anyway, probably the most revealing thing was out of the INFP personality description:

“…INFPs are flexible and laid-back, until one of their values is violated. In the face of their value system being threatened, INFPs can become aggressive defenders, fighting passionately for their cause.”
