Un/seen.

Un/seen (Washington, DC) – Part of me never wants to publish another color photograph ever again. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 50mm 1.4.
Hope all is well out the ‘blogosphere.’ Lots of weekend traveling (NJ two weekends in a row!), covering a PSU Printmaking class, cycling, photo shows, and spending time with the One-and-Only… what can I say? Life is very, very good.
Riding Skills > Walking Skills.

Riding Skills > Walking Skills. (State College, PA) – Clay riding his knobby-tyred bicycle across the famous Three Bridges section of the Wilderness 101 endurance race. I had a great wedding that afternoon, so I could only photograph in the morning, but the sun coming through the fog made for some great back-lit shots. More to come, probably on the event blog soon. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 24-70mm f/2.8.
Land of Waters.

Land of Waters (Domaine Poutrincourt, Canada) – Oh Canada, you will be missed. Just the memories of lakes full of fish and stomachs full of beer to last us for now. We will let this summer go by without seeing the aurora nor the moose tracks in the sand, and we let the walleye grow fatter for the next year. Leica R5, Leica 35mm f/2.
Boxed.

Boxed (State College, PA) – My life is packed into boxes, which are packed into a Forester, which are unloaded from said Forester, and then are dumped into a new place. Repeat five times. This is the last known picture of me in the Old Boalsburg apartment, and have since moved into the Stilson’s KILLER basement apartment. I have a park for a backyard… :D Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 50mm f/1.4.
Harpist.

Harpist (State College, PA) – A musician entertaining at Megan and Sam’s wedding a few weeks ago. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 24-70mm f/2.8.
Methods/Blues

Methods/Blues (State College, PA) – The Blue Method, LIVE! For free! Nothing beats a summer night’s concert, and even though I am not one to throw funk into the CD player, I find myself shakin’ a little leg. Canon 5D Mk2, Leica 90mm f/2.
We Have Forgotten.

We Have Forgotten (Avalon, NJ) – Lindsay on the beach, unknowingly posing for the camera. Canon 5D Mk2, Leica 21mm f/4.
We have forgotten how small we actually are in comparison to the ocean.
For those of you who have been following my blog through its ups and downs, you may remember a rather ugly story of how I left a church and the sticky web of experiences/beliefs I had to be cut out of. Well, I talked with a certain You-Know-Who today after he stopped to talk to me. The meat of our conversation didn’t surprise me, nor the predictable rhetoric-and-response that came out of both of our mouths. End result: no where, just more walls and conclusions for us both.
Instead of going off the deep end and recalling the conversation to post, I will say this: I refuse to respond to anger/manipulation with anger/manipulation. All roads, I hope, lead to repentance and reconciliation, whether we want them to or not. We have forgotten how small we are in comparison to God and the different callings he has for us. Our little wars with one another must end.
<Sigh>.
Dave the Rocker.

Dave the Rocker (Washington, DC) – Appreciates vinyl, whiskey, and Aaron Hayes. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 50mm f/1.4.
Desire.

Desire (National Portrait Gallery, Washington, DC) – Two ironically placed statues in a classical sculpture section of the museum. You can feel the tension in the air. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 50mm f/1.4.
Non-Sleep.

Non-Sleep (Wash. DC) – Aaron helping cook breakfast for us down in DC. It was such a great time seeing old and new friends again in the Capital City crew. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 50mm f/1.4.
