Marbles.

Marbles. (National Portrait Gallery, Washington, DC) – Miniature head carving. Loving the scale and rendering. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 50mm f/1.4.
The Canon Cannon.

The Canon Cannon. (Alexandria, VA) – A new toy made its way into my hands. An antique shop find, wayyyy under-priced, and all the shutter speeds *sound* about right. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 28-70mm f/2.8.
Skulldog.

Skulldog. (Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, Washington, DC) – Another fun composition that I found in the museum, complete with a light-leak/shutter-bounce from my Leica R5. Off to the repair shop. Leica R5, Leica 35mm f/2.
Stephanie and Justin.

Stephanie and Justin. (Navy Yard Waterfront Park, Washington, DC) – A cross-over image from a good friend’s engagement shoot on Sunday. We played a lot with scale and light and forms, and this is one of my favorites out of the set. After playing with Jackson the Dog, riding our Surly bikes in a pack, hanging out at the Capitol, and photographing at the Navy Yard, we celebrated some awesome times over Bloody Marys. Yum. Canon 5D Mk2, Canon 24-70mm f/2.8.
