Until We Meet Again…
“The Reawakening” (collage, 2008). This was one of the first pieces I did right after leaving Antioch/Keystone Church, Inc, last year about this time.
I want to let all my readers know that I have closed this blog until I have some forward movement or interactions that would warrant a new entry. I still have a lot to say, but I remember my one friend helping me, “You will always have something else to say no matter what you have said already.” I don’t want to manufacture anything or keep unearthing the details of this very dead relationship, so what now?
Through the grapevine of people, I have heard that several more people left this church within the last few months. A few have contacted me and said that they definitely understand and relate to the issues brought up in my writing, and frankly, it makes me sad that no one in leadership is actually addressing these issues. To Keystone Church, Inc., it looks like God is weeding out the weak from their church, while I see this as God saving people from manipulation and spiritual abuse. And it breaks my heart that I STILL hear of Keystone members ‘cutting off relationships’ with people who leave or have left this church who have been close friends for 5/10/15 years.
And again, to those of you who are speaking out - continue to speak, continue to forgive, and listen to the Holy Spirit in you. Do whatever you need to detox yourself from the vile doctrine, the experiences, and the abuse, find forgiveness in any and every capacity you can, and continue to meet together and reestablish relationships that were prematurely aborted because of Keystone Church, Inc.
